Social Responsibility

At Satsuma we try to ensure that any work we undertake has, or leads to, some form of positive social impact; with a neutral social impact being the least we want to accept.

We take this responsibility seriously and this can be seen in many of the projects and commissions we accept, and also in those initiatives we create.

Originating from East London we also take an interest in what happens around us. We are also passionate about East London and Thames Gateway regeneration, and in ensuring that it has a positive impact on the people, businesses and communities across that region. This is in line with our wider commitment to diversity and social inclusion.

From this passion our MD, Godwin Ohajah, founded the Ordinary People in early 2011, and he devotes a considerable amount of time and energy in helping to establish this social enterprise as a force for positive impact and change.

Satsuma allocates time and resources on a pro-bono basis to the Ordinary People as and when required.
